Why Signup Is Protected

Signup protections exist so welcome rewards, referrals, and mining stay fair for real players.

Why we protect signup

Robin Rigs gives new players welcome packs and referral rewards after a small on-chain contribution — at least 100,000 $RR in the platform wallet. That keeps starter value for real players while blocking throwaway farm accounts.

Allowed email format

For signup, the part before the @ must use only letters and numbers — at least 6 characters. Dots, plus signs (+), underscores (_), and hyphens (-) are not allowed. Example: playername@gmail.com works; player.name+tag@gmail.com does not.

Allowed providers

Signup works with personal addresses on Gmail, Outlook/Hotmail, Yahoo, iCloud, AOL, Verizon, QQ (qq.com / foxmail.com), and NetEase (163.com / 126.com / yeah.net). Other providers are not supported — this limit helps block throwaway and farm signups. If you use a regional provider not on this list, create a free address on one of the supported services.

Common rejection reasons

Handles ending in a short number suffix (like name12 or name2nd) are blocked because referral farms use that pattern for dozens of accounts. A birth-year suffix (name2000) is fine. A single trailing digit is fine when the full handle is at least 6 characters (playername1, not john1).

Plus tags, dots in Gmail locals, underscores, hyphens, very short handles, and random gibberish strings are blocked for the same reason.

Addresses on providers we cannot reliably verify or that are commonly used for disposable mail are blocked at the domain level.

What we stand against

We actively resist spam signups, gibberish or machine-made identities, and other multi-account abuse that treats Robin Rigs as a free-loot faucet. We do not publish every internal check — that would only help abusers. Legitimate players should use a normal personal email they can verify, with only letters and numbers before the @.

If these protections were removed

Ecosystem cost

Removing signup protections would not make the game friendlier for long. It would make abuse cheaper — and honest play more expensive.

Welcome packs get farmed

Free starter packs and onboarding rewards would be claimed by throwaway accounts in bulk. Real new players would compete with farms for promo value and support attention.

Referral rewards collapse

Referral bonuses only make sense when each referred signup is a distinct person. Without protections, self-referral loops and synthetic friend trees would drain rewards without growing the community.

Store Points and $RR dilute

Farm accounts can turn free packs into marketplace pressure, undercut prices, and siphon value meant for active miners. That hits everyone who earns fairly.

Leaderboards and progression skew

Multi-accounts can park free gear across many profiles, inflate rankings, and game progression ladders. Fair competition depends on one player, one lasting account.

Support and trust erode

Spam signups create noise, abuse reports, and ban waves. Honest players pay through slower support, harsher emergency locks, and a less trustworthy marketplace.
